Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall explains Enzo Maresca’s impact after reuniting with Chelsea boss

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has praised new Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca as one of the main drivers behind his move from Leicester to Stamford Bridge.

Dewsbury-Hall thrived under Maresca’s management in the Championship last season and followed the former Leicester boss to London for a fee believed to be around £30m.

The 25-year-old has agreed a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge in a deal that helps Leicester try to stay within the Premier League’s profitability and sustainability rules.

The midfielder made 120 appearances for the Foxes and scored 12 goals during last season as the club made a swift return to the top flight.

And the 25-year-old is happy to continue a productive partnership with Maresca, who was confirmed as Mauricio Pochettino’s replacement last month.

“I have made it very public what I think of the new manager[Enzo Maresca]. He is fantastic. He is the best,” Dewsbury-Hall told Chelsea’s website.

“He completely changed the way Leicester wanted to play last season and we saw it work. I personally fell in love with the way he wanted to play and I know a lot of other lads did too.

“I am very confident that he will implement his style and that the guys will accept it and like it.

“With more time working on it, it will feel more natural and when that happens, it will be very good for the football club.”

The Dewsbury-Hall deal continues a busy start to the summer at Stamford Bridge, with youngsters Omari Kellyman and Marc Guiu fresh from signings and young striker Estevão Willian set to join Chelsea next summer.
