Pizza Crew Lisburn: Bringing Investment and Jobs to the City

New Lisburn store brings investment and jobs to the city

Following a £500,000 investment, Pizza Crew is opening a new location in Lisburn, which will create 20 new jobs in the area across a range of roles. The new multi-purpose store, located in Bachelors Walk, Lisburn, will join Pizza Crew’s other Belfast locations on Andersonstown Road, Ormeau Road and Antrim Road.

Ciaran Kelly, founder of Pizza Crew, said: “We are delighted to be adding another store to our growing Pizza Crew family. This is our first store outside of Belfast and the decision to come to Lisburn was based on a number of factors.

“Yes, there are plenty of businesses, a hospital and student population close by, and a great franchisee at the helm. But Lisburn residents have been asking us for years when we would open in the city, so as soon as a suitable location became available, we jumped at it. We can’t wait to bring the Pizza Crew experience to the communities of Lisburn in the coming weeks.”

The Pizza Crew recruiting team is eager to hear from people who are passionate about pizza and customer service.

Ciaran continued: “We are looking to recruit immediately for a number of key positions including pizza chefs, shop assistants, fryer operators, kitchen loaders and delivery drivers. Please get in touch via [email protected] and include a copy of your CV.

“We are looking for experienced pizza chefs and fryer operators, but full training will be provided for the other positions, so if you want to start a career in pizza making, get in touch.”

Ciaran Kelly, the creator of Pizza Crew, is passionate about showing young people that there is dough to make pizzas.

“I’ve been making pizzas since I was seventeen,” Ciaran continued. “Through a mixture of hard work, a good team around me and a bit of luck, I’ve managed to build a strong business that I’m very ambitious about. That’s what I’d like to communicate to young people who might be looking for a new career. There’s money to be made and I’m not just talking about pizza bases. If you put your mind to it and keep going, you can do well and make a good life for yourself.”

The Lisburn site will be used for a variety of pizza-themed ventures.

Ciaran said: “The ground floor is where the Pizza Crew store will be located. Upstairs, we are adding a bespoke training facility as well as a show kitchen where we can work with up-and-coming pizza chefs to hone their skills. We will be a centre of excellence for pizza making.”

“We will also be able to invite people to participate in pizza making classes and, as if that weren’t enough, we are creating a podcast studio and will invite people who are passionate about something to talk to us.”

The Pizza Crew recruitment team is interested in hearing from ambitious people.

Ciaran continued: “Now that I have an established business, I make a point of visiting the pizza expo in Las Vegas every year to keep up to date with any new pizza innovations. Last year, I was crowned ‘Pizza King of Ireland’ by pizza legend Mike Bausch, owner of Andolini’s Pizzeria, named one of the ’10 Best Pizza Restaurants in America’.

“The Pizza Crew won ‘Best takeaway in the country’ at the Just Eat Awards in 2023, the ‘Best takeaway in Northern Ireland’ at the 2021 and 2022 NI Takeaway Awards and we are the number 1 rated pizza takeaway on Tripadvisor in Belfast. So if you come and work with us, you will be working with the best in the business.”
