Glasgow has been voted one of the best places to raise a family in the UK

With the cost of living rising, people are finding it harder to be parents in certain cities. In fact, 83% of Brits say it’s harder to raise a family because of how expensive life is getting, according to a recent study. And apparently, Glasgow is officially one of the best places to raise a family at the UK.

Shepherds Friendly researched cities across the UK to determine the best places to raise a family, and we’re not at all surprised that Glasgow made the list.

The research analyzed the 39 most populous cities across the UK based on house prices, the cost of rent, utilities and childcare, as well as average monthly salary and happiness levels in each city.

Peterborough was voted the best place to raise a family in the UK, while Glasgow ranked ninth on the list. The average cost for rent a three bedroom house in Glasgow is £1,225, and the average property price is £150,125. Costs of Public utility services summed up the £280 on average, while the normal cost of nursery It is £867 a month. The average wage for workers is £34,381 and the happiness score was 7.1.

As number one on the list, From Peterborough average property prices are quite high in £235,000renting a three bedroom house is just £992. Public services also cost only £190and the cost of nursery It is £700 on average. The median salary is £32,941 and the happiness score was 7.3.
