Three sign up for 2 Callaghan Square office building in Cardiff city centre

Three companies have recently signed up to occupy space at 2 Callaghan Square office building in central Cardiff, following the refurbishment of the second floor to create high-quality offices.

The owner was advised on all three transactions by the Cardiff office of global property consultancy Knight Frank.

Existing tenant engineering management and consultancy specialist Mott Macdonald has re-committed to its 8,700 sq ft third floor office suite for a further five years and has also signed a new five-year lease on 5,711 sq ft of second floor office space. Mott Macdonald was represented in the deal by Savills Cardiff.

Law firm Clarke Willmott LLP has signed a 10-year lease for a 3,172-square-foot suite on the second floor. The firm, which is relocating from Cardiff Bay, was represented by Morton Property Consultants.

Also on the second floor, FTAI Airopco UK Ltd, which rents and leases air passenger transport equipment, has leased a 1,894 sq ft office for 10 years.

2 Callaghan Square comprises a 46,247 sq ft, 5-storey, high specification, Grade A listed office building and is one of Cardiff’s best located city office buildings, having been built by MEPC in the first phase of the development.

Callaghan Square is located in the Cardiff Central Enterprise Zone and is part of Cardiff Council’s multi-million pound vision for a new Central Business District in the heart of the city centre.

A 560m² first floor office overlooking the main reception and an enviable parking space in the Callaghan Square car park remains available in the building.
