The moment the JLS Edinburgh crowd burst into a classic Scottish children’s song

X Factor stars JLS brought back the nostalgia on Tuesday night as thousands of people descended on Edinburgh Castle to see them perform.

While they performed their classics including Beat Again and The Club is Alive, the four-piece added a surprise song to their setlist, one that many Scots will know from childhood.

JLS is made up of Oritsé, Marvin, Aston and JB. They rose to fame after appearing as a group on the ITV talent show in 2008.

The group appeared to prove their dedication to Scottish fans at the Castle Concert event after the crowd taught them the chant No Scotland. No Party. JLS later began singing while adopting Scottish accents and belting out Ye Cannae Shove Yer Granny Aff a Bus as thousands gathered to support.

The moment was captured on TikTok as the crowd cheered after each line. In the video, a series of colorful waterproof ponchos can be seen as fans braved the miserable weather.

Despite the torrential rain, JLS fans were in good spirits as they were transported back to the late 2000s with the group’s greatest hits. Fans were prepared for the downpour by kitted out with ponchos, waterproof coats and umbrellas.
