Renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed the news on Wednesday evening. Romano tweeted: “Wilfred Ndidi, ready to sign a new deal with Leicester City while final details are being discussed – then all sealed. Exclusive details: contract until June 2027, three-year deal, with release clause also included. Despite more than five offers, Ndidi decides to stay and sign.”

Ndidi’s decision to remain at Leicester is a significant boost for the club. The 26-year-old midfielder has been a key player for the Foxes since joining from Genk in 2017, renowned for his defensive prowess and ability to control the midfield.

His new contract includes a release clause, ensuring Leicester retain some leverage should other clubs come calling in the future.

This extension highlights Ndidi’s commitment to Leicester City, where he has become one of the Premier League’s top midfielders.

With the new deal set to be finalised, Leicester fans can expect more standout performances from the Nigerian international in the coming seasons.
