2023 signing Daniel Farke will leave Leeds United this summer

Journalist Graeme Bailey says another of Leeds United’s key players from last season will follow Archie Gray out this summer.

While the sale of Gray has eased Leeds’ concerns over PSR, interest in some of their other players appears to have increased since the turn of the month.

Premier League side Brighton are reportedly interested in four players from Leeds’ squad and even saw a £30million bid rejected for Georginio Rutter earlier this week.

Glen Kamara, Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto are also of interest to the Seagulls, although the former is said to have reached personal terms with Ligue 1 side Rennes.

Meanwhile, according to Fabrizio Romano, the race for Summerville is still “open”, with PSG the latest club to be considered and Liverpool boss Arne Slot having spoken to him personally.

Graeme Bailey shares new update on Glen Kamara’s future at Leeds

Leeds will not want to lose too many of their key players from last season’s squad to ensure some sort of continuity for next season.

However, if there are some that they can make a quick profit from, it might be hard to say no. Kamara is someone who falls into that category.

Leeds are already in the market for at least one new midfielder this summer following Gray’s departure, and losing Kamara would also mean both of their box-to-box options are ruled out.

But after a decent season at Elland Road following his £5m arrival from Rangers, there is certainly scope to sell him for more, particularly if the likes of Brighton and Rennes are interested.

Speaking exclusively to LeedsUnited.NewsTransfer expert Bailey says Kamara will leave Leeds this summer with plenty of options for him, both in the Premier League and abroad.

He said: “Kamara is one I think will go. There is interest from the Premier League in him and I know French team Rennes like him as well.

“There are options for him abroad, plenty for him, so Kamara will go as well. I think it’s a blow because Kamara played really well a few times for Leeds last year. I think he was really good, so he will be a loss.”

Adam Pope says Leeds don’t want to lose Kamara

According to BBC journalist Adam Pope, Leeds do not want to lose Kamara this summer, but it looks like that position will be tested.

While it would clearly be a blow to lose him, he is the type of player who can be replaced in the squad, unlike players like Summerville and Rutter.

Plus, cashing in quickly on someone like Kamara could actually help them keep both of them in the club.

This is a situation that will be interesting to see how it develops in the coming weeks.
