Andy Murray’s Wimbledon career ends as Emma Raducanu withdraws from mixed doubles

Andy Murray has played his final match at Wimbledon following the news that Emma Raducanu had been forced to withdraw from the mixed doubles match on Saturday.

The pair were due to start their campaign on Saturday night, but Emma confirmed she will not be taking part due to “some stiffness in her right wrist”.




It means Murray’s latest Wimbledon campaign has come to an end as he failed to play in the singles and lost in the first round of the men’s doubles to his brother Jamie.

The 21-year-old had previously said it was her lifelong ambition to play alongside Murray in what will be her final major at SW19, but she has decided to prioritise her singles campaign.

“Unfortunately, I woke up with some stiffness in my right wrist this morning so I have made the difficult decision to withdraw from the mixed doubles.
