Face of prolific thief who admits to one-man crime spree in Birmingham

This is the face of a prolific Birmingham burglar who admits to going on a solo crime spree in Birmingham. Ashley Roden was arrested by officers as he tried to flee a robbery by climbing across rooftops in Sutton Coldfield last Thursday.

The 32-year-old went on to admit 20 offences ranging from robbery, burglary and assault throughout June. Roden’s offences began earlier in the month when he robbed a supermarket.

He went on a spree of break-ins and thefts at several supermarkets and pharmacies in Birmingham. In the process, he also breached his community behaviour order and assaulted staff.

Roden pleaded guilty to the charges at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Friday, June 28. He was remanded in custody and is due to be sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court on July 26.
